Emily Meets King Charles

“Went back and forth about posting this as 1) it’s a complete misrepresentation of my life, which is 99.9 % devoid of parties and glamour of any kind, and 2) I’m still not convinced it actually happened in reality as opposed to a strange fever dream. Anyway, apparently it did happen because here is the back of my head talking to the back of HRH King Charles’s head with the front of the brilliant @studionib’s head, surrounded out of frame by guests including some of the most incredible stage and screen actors; theatre directors; educators; writers and artists. We were all there at Windsor Castle to celebrate 400 years since the first publication of Shakespeare’s first Folio - the children’s edition of which I am currently illustrating for @bigpicturebooks @walkerbooksuk and @shakespearebtrust. It was for sure the fanciest and most star-studded night of my life so it’s going on my grid for provenance!”
